A loud warcry sounded, and she spun around, only to see around thirteen orcs rushing towards her. She screamed, then realised that she wasn't unarmed as she saw one of her brother's wakizashis on the ground. Just then she saw, at the corner of her, a few orcs pulling a few short bows out of their packs, and aimed them at her.
She quickly dived and rolled on the ground, while picking the shortened katana up at the same time. As expected, it was green in colour... Her dark eyes turned on the incoming horde, who had by then faltered as they saw a blade in her hands. She unsheathed the weapon, an action she had seen Ephraim do so many times, and moved swiftly into the Dance of the Woods. The Music began to play in her head, and her eyes focused now on the troop of orcs rushing at her. If they were gonna kill her, she was determined to take some of them down with her. The first one came at her with a rusty scimitar, and she swayed lightly, avoiding the still deadly blade, and neatly removed his head before delivering a somersault that landed her a safe distance away from the bows of the orcs. The second one was more cautious, his short sword stabbing tentatively here and there. But though he could block the small girl's slashing blade, he failed to see her oncoming elbow that smashed his nose. Dropping his sword to stem the nosebleed, he became easy prey for the girl who finished him off. Two of them now came at her, and while she was confident that they could be easily disposed off, she knew that they would come in greater numbers later, and she would be overwhelmed. Picking up three sharp but small pieces of wood in her hand, she began to draw upon the Lord, and through the His Spirit and the Song of His Creation, she began to channel the strength of the woods into the three pieces. A few seconds later, they became three sharp and big pieces of wood. She smiled coldly at the two who now stopped in their tracks, and had turned back only to crash into a third orc who had caught up to them. The apprentice Dancer hurled the three pieces, one at a time, and the three orcs now all had matching wooden stakes in their chests. She laughed, and the next thing she knew she had tripped over a fallen root, and hit the ground. "Ow..." she groaned as she slowly got up. A chill suddenly ran down her spine as she heard around six voices just a few feet behind her. Turning around, she saw, with great horror, the rest of the troop minus a few of them who had lagged behind, right in front of her! They leered down at her, their grotesque faces all bearing an ugly, shark-like grin which meant "We're gonna get you this time!" All of them had their weapons raised, and she quickly prayed that she may have a complete body for her family to bury. Then it happened; a loud crack of a spiked whip, the clashes of long knives, a katana, rapier and sabre against old swords and pitted falchions, and the death cry of dead orcs ringing in her ear. Looking up, she could see Sharyl, Shannon and Melodie looking down concernedly at her, while her brother stretched a hand out to pull her up. "Are you okay Jolina?" Ephraim asked. She took hold of his hand, pulled herself up, and grinned. "Yup." *********** Heh. That's my answer to you, Jolina =D Alright. As it is, it's already 9am, and there's band prac later at 2. Great. I have a huge sore throat, and its threatening to kill me. XP I just love blogging. I can write and bitch at the same time. Heh. The Day of the Journeyman approaches! I hope God has it in His plan to make it wildly successful and fun! Hahha... Okay, mebbe I'm losing it. But I can't remember what I really wanted to say. Hmm... This is what's been happening... Alternate Tab First "Practice": Ermm...right. Din do much really, but hey, Reagan learnt two chords! Or three I'm not sure. As for me, I learnt A! -_-" hahaha... Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source: Lived up to the hype that it's been getting. It is THAT good. That's for Half-Life 2. For CS: Source, let's just say I played it till 4am. Lol. Whaddya think? Watched The Incredibles: Okay, this is a no-brainer, but yeah. Watched it at Sheryl's house, which has a pretty big tv(almost as big as Ian's, except not wall mounted). Err...took a loooong walk with Sheryl and Porky...got a little emotional about the Ruthless One, but what the hell. Watched half of Windstruck, and strangely only Sheryl cried. Maybe cos it was not very Christian I din really feel for it much. =P Devotion Begins: Another no-brainer. It's a good sleeping pill tho =) Nothing like the peace of God... Wish-List going up!: Since its gonna be Christmas soon, I mite as well unveil my wishlist... Y'know, recently I've been discovering how powerful my imagination can be. I dunno, but some of you may know this. You know there's nothing happening really, but your mind tells you "What if..." and then you start on a journey of madness and despair. It sucks, really. By the way, how many people in the world I know have cut yourselves quietly and without one or two people's knowledge? I know its obvious it's stupid, but I also know that you guys need an outlet to vent your frustrations and all. Why do you think I ordered that punching bag for? To train just in case Ian loses his mind one day and pummels anything in his path? I'd be dead if that happens anyway... We are God's Temple, the Temple in which His Spirit dwells. It'll be pretty stupid if we damage the Temple right? Lol. My eyes are blurring up. Gotta get glasses soon. AGH. Seeya. *********** Joshua roared with laughter, when he saw who was having a sparring match with each other. Ephraim and Reagan. The funniest thing that could happen in history. The two most irritating people he could really think of. Joshua sincerely believed that if one day someone was have a sleepover, with Reagan on his left and Ephraim his right, that person would die of irritation. Ephraim had said a couple of times that he was on par with Reagan in terms of irritating people, of which they obviously did it in different ways, but still the effect on people was genenrally about the same: Begging Ephraim or Reagan to shut up. Or in Ian or Nick Tang's case, landing a few blows on the supposed irritant. Ephraim was too fast for them however. And Reagan had a few tricks up his sleeve too. As Reagan picked up his Battlemage Staveblade, and Ephraim his Apart katana, Joshua suddenly realised one thing. Usually, after a few clashes or so, men with similiar characteristics often bond with each other really well. Ephraim...and Reagan... If those two were to join forces and become amiable friends, the entire church would be in serious DEEP trouble. In fact, it would be probably be the end of peace in the Youth as he knew it. Joshua gulped, and hoped for the best. josh fatesealer turned back time on 12/17/2004 09:44:00 am. |
